Hey all!
This weekend was a blast. I shot three people for this project, and they were all super fun to work and chat with. Special thanks to Bonnie, Brandon and Cynthia, my first models!
I learned a few things in the process, too.
Day time in Texas is a lousy time to take pictures. It is miserably hot, the sun is unrelenting and so, so direct. I thought I could beat the heat by starting early, but even before noon, the outside world was inhospitable. Bounce cards, while helping with the light, blind your models and make them squint. Comfort is king and there is nothing comfortable about being outside in Texas in July.
I love the Rio Rita I know too many people who frequent there. Makes it hard to have a one on one conversation.
I also learned that a half hour is not quite enough for a good conversation and photos. All appointments are now somewhere around an hour! Whoooo!
And on and on!
